Maurer has a live arm, but can he take the next step as a quarterback? He has starting experience and has had periodic success at Tennessee. Josh Heupel's staff recruited him to Central Florida out of high school, and he has the skills to fit in their offense. He is the fastest quarterback on the roster, so 2021 could be a chance for him to step forward.
