Josh Heupel has yet to make any formal announcements on his staff, despite several key names already being in Knoxville with him. However, he did provide a timeline for clarity during a Thursday morning radio appearance.

The Volunteers 27th Head Coach said, "I think by the time we hit the ground next Monday, we'll be close to having our full-time positions filled up and most of our sub-cabinet coaches filled up as well. I'm going to let Danny and our administration handle the announcements next week."

As we have alluded to, Heupel does have some key staffers in place from UCF, including likely offensive coordinator, Alex Golesh, and likely quarterbacks coach, Joey Halzle. The Volunteers

"I and some of the guys who are here are living in a hotel right now, but I'm smart enough to bring my wife into town and give her the keys to go pick the house and make sure she has the right place for your kids to live in. I have not checked out anything on Zillow or a house. I have not done that since we've got here, that's for sure," Heupel said during the appearance.

For the most part, there has been no one in the building to assist Heupel in key areas because of the severity of the staff turnover following Tennessee's investigation into Jeremy Pruitt's staff.

During an appearance on Vol Calls, Heupel hinted at what could be coming to Tennessee, as he said, "I look at it really as, we had a large staff in Orlando in UCF, and I'm talking about your support staff. You got your ten main coaches. We're chipping away at that. I like where we're at and where we're heading with our on-field coaches. At the same time, you're the CEO of really, in most respects, a large corporation, too, so making sure that your support staff is right as well, so bit by bit with the people that you feel strongly about, and it ends up being the right fit, you start moving those guys to Knoxville to help your current players and get their feet on the ground."
