Tee Martin's contract ran through January 31st, yet he remained in discussions with the University of Tennessee about his future.  Now, however, Martin will not receive a new contract at his alma mater and will now head to the NFL as the Ravens Passing Game Coordinator, making Kevin Steele the lone 'holdover' from Jeremy Pruitt's staff.

The news was first reported by Jeff Zriebec of the Athletic.

Martin, an icon around Tennessee football, served as wide receivers coach, assistant head coach, and passing game coordinator under Jeremy Pruitt.

Martin served under Pruitt for two seasons, and he was vital in landing Jalin Hyatt, Walker Merrill, and Andison Coby, among others, as a recruiter.

"My goal is to be a college head coach, to be an NFL coach, and that's where I'm headed," Martin recently said during his time at the Senior Bowl.

"That's where my focus is right now. "I'm full speed ahead. I know that I'm prepared and ready to be a head coach. We'll get there, and I won't stop until we do," Martin concluded.

Kodi Burns is likely to replace Martin as the wide receivers coach at Tennessee. He served in the same role at Auburn before joining Josh Heupel's staff in Orlando in January of this year.
