In this story:

The SEC is off to a rough start in out-of-conference play. There have been several bad losses over the first two weeks, but Alabama's loss to Texas on Saturday wasn't bad - they just flat-out got beat. Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers was a superstar, looking like every part of the first-round projection that he carries.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe was less than stellar, missing a series of downfield throws that could have kept the Crimson Tide alive. He did connect with wide receiver Jermaine Burton on one long touchdown, but aside from that, it was a whole bunch of nothing for head coach Nick Saban and company. Texas carved them up all night with simple concepts - the final touchdown for the Longhorns was elementary. The motioned to a three-receiver set on the right side and ran divide out of it. Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell torched man coverage and walked in for a touchdown.

These are day-one install concepts that Alabama typically doesn't mess up. It could just be week two, and in a few weeks we may all be looking back and wondering how Alabama flipped the switch. However, it is something to consider, especially if you're the Tennessee Volunteers.
