Suspended Vols QB Salter Issues Apology for Behavior

On March 25th, Josh Heupel revealed Kaidon Salter had been suspended for his involvement in an off-field incident at Stokely Residence Hall.

"Kaidon was not on the practice field today," Tennessee head coach Josh Huepel said at the time. "Kaidon is part of the group of individuals that are suspended from team activities at this point."

Since then, Salter's legal case has been dropped, but he has not been reinstated to the team. Over the weekend, Salter took to social media to voice his displeasure about Tennessee not wishing him a happy birthday and made multiple tweets arguing with fans, and even went on to say he appreciated other coaches for reaching out to him. He has since deleted the tweets.

Today, Salter issued an apology for his actions.

"I just want to take this opportunity to apologize to my team, my coaches the Vol fans & my parents for my negative choices I know my choices disappointed many but my end goal is to eliminate my distractions get on the field & earn my respect back #gottoKEEPmypopsPROUD #levelup"

Tennessee currently has three scholarship quarterbacks on the practice field, and the Vols could look to the transfer portal if things do not workout with Salter.
