2022 California DB Ephesians Prysock Picks Up Vols Offer

Rising senior defensive back Ephesians Prysock is no stranger to having attention. The California prospect is already rated one of the top players at the position nationwide.
With over a dozen offers already in hand, his list keeps growing. Prysock is on pace to have over two dozen offers when it is all said and done.
Prysock's versatility has already caught the eyes of many schools such as; Southern Cal, Boston College, Texas, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oregon, and many more.
The process has been going good overall for Prysock, "except the part that I can't go on visits." There have been some schools reaching out that have yet to offer, including Michigan, Washington, and Washington State. Out of the schools that have offered, some have separated themselves from the pack.
Prysock recently dropped a top-10 list, and he confided that they are the ones who he hears from the most at this point. The Top 10 (in no order) are; Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, Ohio State, Arizona State, UCLA, Oregon, LSU, Texas, and Colorado.
Based on location, offers have come in for the young defensive back from everywhere. What are the schools seeing in Prysock? The talented junior gave his own insight by describing his playstyle, "I would say very versatile because I can do some things that many other DBs can't do," he said. Prysock would also admit that he watches and pays attention to Jalen Ramsey in order to model and enhance his game after him.
On March 11th, the Tennessee Vols extended an offer to the west coast-based defensive back by way of Willie Martinez. The conversation was essentially the staff trying to build a relationship and explain the SEC to Prysock.

Prysock could fit in at Tennessee or anywhere, honestly. Prysock says, "I mean, I can play anywhere." There may be some time to wait for any alterations to the list as the Top 10 was recently released. Tennessee controls its own fate with this prospect. When asked what Tennessee had to do to make a push to stay in the conversation, the response was simple. "Really stay in communication. Get me up to the school and show me what it's like there."
It is also worth noting there is a Tennessee tie-in with Prysock. The head coach of Bishop Alemany is Casey Clausen, also known to Vol fans as "The Iceman," a former quarterback for the Vols in the early 2000's.

Dale Dowden is a multimedia sports writer with nearly 10 years in the recruiting field. He began covering recruiting in the Tennessee Vols market in 2019. From 2020-2022, Dale was with the Tennessee site at SI, before taking the Lead Recruiting role for VolReport on Rivals from 2023-2025.
