Though the Vols just wrapped up their 2024 signing class, recruiting never sleeps. The coaching staff has a few targets remaining in the current senior class, but aside from that, have already moved on to the 2025 group. Head coach Josh Heupel detailed how talented the in-state 2025 group is, and a part of that is four-star offensive guard Chauncey Gooden.

Gooden is the No. 217 player in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He cut his list down to ten schools on Friday, and the Vols are in the forefront of his recruitment. Gooden will now focus on Auburn, Clemson, Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, and Tennessee moving forward.

The offseason is almost underway for Tennessee football. The Vols have concluded the regular season and are now focusing on roster construction for the 2023 season. Volunteer Country has fans covered with all the latest portal entries and NFL Draft declarations. The portal window is from December 4 until January 2. If players don't transfer within that window, they must wait until May following spring practice to enter the transfer portal.
