2025 Four-Star DL Christian Garrett Getting First Look At Tennessee

2025 four-star defensive lineman Christian Garrett has scheduled an unofficial visit with the Tennessee Volunteers, and he will get his first look at Rocky Top this Sunday.

2025 four-star defensive lineman Christian Garrett has been a big riser this off-season. He had two offers from UCF and Georgia Southern before his sophomore season and was relatively under the radar. That was before he posted 53 tackles, five tackles for loss, and three sacks for Prince Avenue Christian School (Bogart, Ga.) en route to a state championship. He then racked up 12 offers, most notably from Tennessee, Georgia, Clemson, and Florida.

Garrett spent the first year of high school touring mid-majors, but now that he's become a national recruit, he's getting his first look at top-tier programs. Georgia, Florida, Clemson, Auburn, and Georgia State have hosted him this offseason, with the Gators and in-state Bulldogs getting him on campus twice in his sophomore season. Garrett will add another major program to that list, as he announced a visit to Tennessee on Friday. The Volunteers offered on May 4, his seventh offer and fifth Power-5. The traits are obvious - Garrett measures 6-4 and 286 pounds with an 83" wingspan.

There's a lot of intrigue about where Garrett ends up playing along the defensive line. He's a bit of a tweener right now - Garrett can play defensive end in a scheme with larger bodies playing a 4i where he can set the edge in the run game and contain the pocket rather than having to pin his ears back and create pass rush every snap. However, he could kick inside and become a defensive tackle in college. Garrett played some defensive tackle for Prince Avenue, and his strength at the point of attack looked strong on tape. Tennessee gets its first look at him this weekend to begin start that recruiting process.
