Cutter Boley Cuts Down Recruitment

In this story:
The 2025 quarterback search continues. Head coach Josh Heupel and offensive coordinator Joey Halzle have been locked into the search for a 2025 passer for months, and one of their top targets at the position is four-star Kentucky native Cutter Boley. Boley narrowed his list to 10 schools on Friday, with several major programs fighting for his services.
- Alabama
- Florida State
- Kentucky
- Miami
- Michigan
- Notre Dame
- Oregon
- Penn State
- TCU
- Tennessee
- Texas A&M
While the Vols have done solid work, the in-state Kentucky Wildcats are positioned in the driver's seat. He has visited Lexington eight times, a staggering amount. Boley has been to Rocky Top six times, and they are the No. 2 player for him. Tennessee is still sorting through 2025 options, though they seem to be enticed by in-state quarterback George MacIntyre.
Boley prides himself on accuracy. Analysts routinely talk about throwing receivers open, placing the ball to a spot rather than to a man. Boley's ball placement tells his wideouts how to adjust and where to be. You must be accurate when you take as many downfield chances as Boley. He fits the ball into tight windows but doesn't violently rip through his frame to create maximum torque each time.
He also shines off-structure. His natural base is a throwback style, pointed toward his target and delivering weight through the front foot. However, he doesn't need to have his feet set to deliver strikes. Boley's tape shows throws on the run, off his back foot, and across his body. The natural arm talent is startling, as there isn't any throw on the field that he can't make.
