Lakeland High School safety Keon Young had a big junior season and now has several national powers at the forefront of his recruitment. The No. 278 prospect in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports' Composite Rankings, is down to Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan State, Missouri, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USF, and West Virginia.

Young measures in at 6-0 and 183 pounds - he was once committed to USF but decommitted after his recruitment started to blow up. Young holds multiple offers, including Tennessee, Oregon, USC, Colorado, Florida, and many more. He visited Tennessee for the first time since getting his offer and attended the Tennessee vs. Georgia game.

"I loved the visit," Young said at the time. "The fans, the atmosphere, and the way the staff made me feel like I was a priority to them stood out about this visit overall. A big part of me feeling like a priority is the fact that everyone made sure my family and I were good the whole trip." He mentioned that he got to talk to defensive coordinator Tim Banks. "Yes, I talked to Coach Tim Banks. He was excited to see me, and we talked about the game and toured the school," Young said. "The crowd and the stadium itself are beautiful!"
