In this story:

The Tennessee Volunteers don't waste any recruiting resources, especially at quarterback. If there's a young signal-caller with a Power-5 upside, chances are that the Vols have seen and evaluated them. 2026 quarterback Landon Duckworth is no exception - Duckworth holds nine early offers from Nebraska, TCU, South Carolina, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, UCF, and Troy. The Alabama native didn't get much experience as a freshman but has many raw tools that entice college coaches.

Duckworth measures 6-3 and 195 pounds. He has a live arm with a ton of downfield potential. I saw him at the Elite 11 regionals in Carrollton, Georgia, and while he was still learning how to play the position, Duckworth stood out among a group of elite prospects. High-caliber players like Julian Lewis and Air Noland gravitated toward Duckworth throughout the event, and he carried himself as he belonged. He made several throws that left scouts wondering if he could become a major national name quickly.

That time has come. The offers are learning in for Duckworth, and he will get his first look at Tennessee shortly. Duckworth is scheduled to throw on Rocky Top on June 25, the coaching staff's first opportunity to get him in their building and start a relationship. He hopes to leave with an offer, similar to what he did at South Carolina when the Gamecocks extended an early offer. He could quickly become someone to know for the Vols, especially as they will take quarterbacks in their first three full recruiting cycles with head coach Josh Heupel at the helm.
