In this story:

Tennessee has offered a rising in-state prospect from Baylor High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee - 2025 running back Shekai Mills-Knight from Baylor High School. He hit the scene hard this year after transferring in from Canada. He has offers from schools like Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Cincinnati. He recently received his Volunteer offer and took the time to speak with Volunteer Country shortly after.

The talented running back talks about his Tennessee offer by saying, "It means a lot, but I knew this day would come, so I won't let it get over my head. The job's not finished. I'm hungry for more and ready to work this off-season and get better!" He also talks about his transition from Canada to Tennessee by saying, "I came down here having a lot to prove because people in the states think Canadian football is soft and we don't have ballers like that, so I knew I had to let them have it. I had to put on for the 514, but having such a good o-line running behind guys like 3-star Jimmy Bryson, Dom Clifford, Owen Rose, Teag Johnson, and Charlie Edgeworth was a big factor and made it easy for me to dominate in the best football division in Tennessee!"

The 2025 prospect then talks about Tennessee by saying, "I don't know much about it except that it's a great environment to be a part of if you love football. I'll find out more about it on my visit sometime in January." He has been in contact with wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope. When asked about his conversations, Mills-Knight responded, "It went well. Coach Kelsey Pope is a cool dude. He asked me about myself and my family and told me he's excited to have me come check out the campus sometime this off-season. He also told me to keep competing with Cameron Sparks, and we will have a big season ahead of us."

Mills-Knight was asked what he believed he could bring to a program. The running back states, "I'm a bigger back, and I have that SEC speed, so I feel I could really cause trouble for defenses being hard to tackle and always getting those extra yards falling forward." The Baylor back also talks about what he looks for in a school. "A good academic school, an environment that makes me feel at home, and a coaching staff that would help me be great are what I look for in a school," Mills-Knight states. Finally, he states, "Coaches send graphics and ask me about my day often, and yes, I'd say Tennessee plays a big part now."
