Tennessee was on the recruiting trail as of late, as they were traveling to visit certain recruits. One of the recruits who received a visit was Vero Beach High School linebacker Tarvos Alford. He stands 6-2 and 215 pounds with high praise from many schools, including Tennessee. He took the time to speak with Volunteer Country following his visit with the Tennessee staff.

Alford started the conversation by saying, "Overall, it was great to speak with Coach Heupel and Coach B.J. in person. Their pitch to me was that I needed to be a Vol and that I could help them as much as they could help me."

Following the short time with Tennessee, Alford was asked if it happened to help Tennessee's case and how much of a factor it would play in his recruitment moving forward. "It definitely moved their stock up. I feel like it's special when the main man comes to visit you," the talented linebacker stated. He was also asked about how Tennessee makes him feel and where they currently stand in his recruitment. The Florida defensive standout says, "Definitely a top school at this point in my recruitment. They do make me feel like a priority because they stay in contact with me, trying to get over there. Coach Heupel texts me almost every morning!"

With him becoming more of a priority, this staff is likely attempting to get him on campus to visit Knoxville. When asked if he had any visit plans with Tennessee, he simply responded, "I plan to get up there during spring." Alford would be a huge addition to the already impressive Tennessee recruiting class and could be a key piece to its final success. As time passes, Alford seems more and more like a priority target for this Tennessee recruiting staff.
