Collierville High School wide receiver Joakim Dodson had a big junior season. He totaled 52 receptions for 1,012 all-purpose yards and ten touchdowns. He recently received a visit at school from head coach Josh Heupel and wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope. Dodson ranks as the No. 542 prospect in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

Dodson spoke earlier in the month with Volunteer Country about his recruitment. "It's been smooth so far; it hasn't gotten too hectic yet. I've been hearing from Tennessee, Missouri, Cincinnati, and Mississippi State consistently through the process thus far." Dodson had also talked about Tennessee making him feel like a priority. "Yeah, I definitely feel like a priority. I talk to someone from the staff almost every day and have great relationships with them all. Coach Heupel came up to my school to see me during the December contact period, and they're always telling me how they want me on Rocky Top," Dodson states.

Digging deeper into his relationship with the Tennessee staff and, more specifically, Pope and Heupel, he states, "Really good. I talk to each of them probably every other day, and they're always checking up on me, and they also have good relationships with my family." Finally, he was asked if any recruit or commit had been pushing hard for him. He responds, "My quarterback, Aidan Glover, who's signed to Missouri, has been pushing hard for me."
