In this story:

Tennessee has been in the conversation for many top prospects across the nation. One of the newest names to emerge as a potential option is Dr. Henry Wise High School defensive lineman Trent Wilson. He recently released a list of top schools: Tennessee, Penn State, Maryland, Florida, Ohio State, Florida State, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma. Following his announcement, he took the time to detail each school and what makes them a top choice

  • Florida State: "Coach Haggins is a big part of why they are in my top choices. Coach Odell and I have a great relationship, and I also like how many great players he puts in the league. Also, lots of coaches from FSU make it known how much they want me to play for them."
  • Ohio State: "Ohio State is a top option because they have a history of developing defensive linemen, and Coach Larry does a great job with development. Also, Ohio State has a great culture."
  • Florida: "Florida has a good resume of putting defensive players into the league, and they do a great job developing defensive linemen."
  • Penn State: "They've been here the whole time through my recruitment, and they have done a great job making me a top priority for them. They also do a great job developing defensive linemen and putting them in the league."
  • Texas A&M: "They have also done a great job recruiting me, and I love their campus. They also have a great community and culture. I'll be visiting them soon."
  • Oklahoma: "Coach Bates and his resume with great defensive lineman and Oklahoma's culture. They have been recruiting me a lot lately, and I'm excited about visiting soon."
  • Maryland: "It's the home team, and I'm excited to see how they change the program over this past season. Depending on how they do, they may be an option."
  • Tennessee: "They have been showing lots of interest lately, and Tennessee has good football. I'm excited to see how my relationship with the coaches builds over the next couple of months."
