Alpharetta, Ga.-- 2022 North Cobb (Ga.) linebacker Joshua Josephs has become one of the southeast's most coveted edge prospects. He was one of the standout performers from Sunday's Atlanta Under Armour Camp, and he talked Tennessee following the camp's conclusion.

I have been talking the most with Coach BJ (Brian Jean-Mary) and their defensive coordinator. I have been communicating with them the most. I was on a zoom with them last Thursday or Friday talking about how much they love my film and my length, how they love my explosiveness, and how I can drop into man, zone, rush off the edge, and all of that."

Josephs flashed all of this during Sunday's event landing him on SI All-American's All-22 team.

"Joshua Josephs wasn't the most technically sound linebacker Sunday but he made as many plays as anyone at the position with his instincts, closing speed and a wingspan," Director of Recruiting John Garcia Jr. said. "There were several reps in which the running back created some separation but by the time the ball arrived, Josephs was there to make the play. The margin for error with him is simply wider than most, so when the technique catches up to the rangy prospect, watch out."

His unique ability to impact the game in each phase is one of things that has caught Tennessee's attention and the idea of playing in their multiple defensive schemes certainly appeals to him.

"I like it," he said of the appeal. "I like to play in multiple defenses and having different opportunities, different formations, and plays. I really like all of that."

"The energy from all of their coaches," Josephs said about what he likes from his conversations with the Tennessee staff. "Every single one of their defensive coaches have that energy. I talk to every single one of them, and I just like that energy."

"I mean, staying closer to home is nice; I could have the family at the game, so I really like that."

They told me I would have a chance to play really early, so all that they've told me sounds really good to me."

I am looking for a school that their football coaches can build me up as not just a football player but a better man too.

I am planning on taking visits to Tennessee, Kentucky, UCF and Miami. Probably two officials right now are Tennessee and Kentucky, but the other two will be unofficials.

"I plan on committing probably before the season, probably late July or Early August, and dropping my top schools probably sometime this summer."
