Longhorns Drop Series Finale 4-2, Unable to Sweep Indiana: Live Game Log

The Texas Longhorns (3-3) enter Sunday's matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers (2-4) riding a three-game winning streak and having already clinched the series win. Now, they look to complete the sweep.

It has been night and day for the Longhorns between their opening weekend in Arlington and this weekend against Indiana. When they left Arlington 0-3 the defense was painfully unreliable while the offense was hot and cold, unable to hit consistently.

That all turned around on Tuesday, though, in a 12-2 blowout win over the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders. In the win Texas managed 12 runs on 16 hits, with every starter recording a hit in the win.

So far in two wins against the Hoosiers, the Longhorns have relied on excellent pitching and a pair of big innings in both games to win the first two games of the series. If they can get both again on Sunday the sweep should follow suit.
