Longhorns Beat North Dakota State 7-4 for Midweek Sweep: Live Game Log

The Texas Longhorns (10-7) are back in action on Wednesday night as they look to complete the midweek two-game sweep against the North Dakota State Bison (1-15).

On Tuesday night the Longhorns handled business in comfortable fashion, handing the Bison their 12th straight loss in a 7-2 ballgame. It was another instance of the bats and pitching staff continuing to click at the same time, as they have won six straight after starting 4-7.

While starter Lebarron Johnson Jr. struggled a bit for the Longhorns on the mound, Charlie Hurley continued to excel out of the bullpen - coming on in the top of the third and giving Texas an efficient 5 1/3 scoreless innings with five strikeouts and only three hits.

As for the offense, it was another solid performance from freshman Jayden Duplantier, who got the start in left field and recorded a 2-for-2 showing at the plate with a pair of walks and RBIs as well.

Now, the Longhorns look to pull off the sweep of the Bison and rack up their seventh straight win.
