Longhorns Series Against Kansas State Postponed Due to Weather

The Texas Longhorns (21-9, 4-2) were supposed to kick off a three-game conference series on Thursday against the Kansas State Wildcats (19-12, 5-4) but will now have to wait to do so.

Rather, the series has been postponed due to weather and the Longhorns will instead have a typical Friday-Sunday weekend series after originally having Easter Sunday off.

There are no set times for the three-game series as due to the postponement, they will now determine game times based on weather conditions.

A postponement to a traditional Friday-Sunday weekend series could also see the Longhorns' series against Texas State pushed back as well, from a Monday and Tuesday home and home to a Tuesday and Wednesday game, to avoid Texas playing five games in five days.

For now, though, the postponement allows the Longhorns an extra day of rest between their Tuesday night 7-1 win over Air Force which snapped a small two-game losing streak.

The series against the Wildcats gives the Longhorns a chance to cement themselves even further in the race for a Big 12 championship and raise in the polls while placing their name in the regional host conversation.
