No. 23 Texas' Bullpen Collapses, Drops Opener to Washington 9-3: Live Game Log
Taking a break from conference play for the weekend, the No. 23 Texas Longhorns (10-6, 2-1) continue their 10-game home stand with their final non-conference series of the season against the Washington Huskies (4-7-1).
Keeping momentum rolling will be a huge factor for the Longhorns in this series as they come in riding a mini two-game win streak with victories over the Incarnate Word Cardinals in a midweek contest and the No. 24 Texas Tech Red Raiders that clinched their first conference series win of the campaign.
Fortunately for the Longhorns, their lineup seems to be finally clicking on all cylinders. Every starter is hitting above .300 except for two, and everyone in the lineup has hit at least one home run so far.
The biggest question mark for Texas heading into this series, of course, remains with the starting rotation. If the trio of Lebarron Johnson Jr., Cody Howard and Charlie can round into form and provide some length rather than a short outing, then the Longhorns should be in good shape this weekend.
