'Not Done Yet': Texas Longhorns Center Jake Majors Talks Final Year

The Texas Longhorns return one of the best offensive lines in all of college football, and center Jake Majors is at the forefront of it.

The Texas Longhorns have what every team in college football wants every season, which goes well beyond just having talent. They have talented players who are experienced, and they are lucky enough to have it all over the place.

Where it's Quinn Ewers going on his third year as the starter, a couple of running backs who got meaningful touches, a group of veteran receivers, or an experienced secondary it's all great. However, having experience and talent in the trenches is something every coach in the country would kill for. They are projected to start juniors or above across the board, with four out five spots returning the starter from last season.

Center Jake Majors is the most experienced of them all, as he returned for what will be a fifth year, and he did so instead to finish what he started.

When speaking to the media earlier this week, Majors was pretty straightforward when asked why he returned.

"I decided to come back because I felt like my business here was unfinished," said Majors. "I felt like I had more to give to the University of Texas and ultimately you know talking to coach [Kyle] Flood, coach Sark...They extended that opportunity and I took it and you know I'm really happy to be back."

Majors did say that it was somewhat of a tough decision to return after seeing fellow classmates leave for the NFL, but is looking forward to being a leader on the team.

The unfinished business in question for Majors and the Longhorns is a title run. The team got a taste of it last season when they won the Big 12 for the first time since 2009 and also made the College Football Playoff. They ended up losing to Washington, but the experience has them wanting more, and a shot at redemption.
