Texas Longhorn quarterback Colt McCoy returned to action for the first time this season on Sunday, drawing the start for the Washington Redskins against the New England Patriots.

Unfortunately for McCoy and the Redskins, the day belonged to the defending Super Bowl Champions as New England pulled away for a 33-7 victory.

McCoy was sacked six times and went 18-of-27 for 119 yards and an interception.

The good news for McCoy and his team is the slate gets easier next week when they go on the road to take on the Miami Dolphins. Maybe Texas fans will get a chance to see the old familiar sight of McCoy throwing for touchdowns.
