Texas Longhorns vs. No. 25 TCU Horned Frogs: Preview, Betting Odds, How to Watch

In this story:
AUSTIN -- The Texas Longhorns will aim to end their two-game losing streak when they play their fifth straight matchup against a ranked opponent on Saturday against No. 25 TCU in Fort Worth.
Texas (14-7, 3-5) is coming off a crushing 76-72 overtime loss to No. 4 Houston on Monday. The Longhorns trailed by as many as 12 in the first half before storming back to take a six-point lead midway through the second half, but the Cougars answered the challenge o the road.
It was a win the Longhorns needed to have to help boost their NCAA Tournament chances. They'll get another shot at what would be a huge resume-building victory at TCU (16-5, 5-3), but that of course will be easier said than done.
"They've had a great year to this point right now," Texas coach Rodney Terry. "One of the older teams in college basketball. One of the fastest teams, maybe the fastest team, in college basketball."
The Horned Frogs have won three straight games, highlighted by back-to-back wins over then-No. 15 Baylor on the road in triple overtime and a home win over No. 15 Texas Tech on Tuesday.
Texas' defense found its legs against Houston, but will need to string together another solid performance against a TCU offense that's averaging the third-most points per game (83.7) among Big 12 teams this season. Though versatile forward Emanuel Miller leads the way with 16.5 points per night, the Frogs are highlighted by an elite group of guards that features Micah Peavy, Jameer Nelson Jr., and Trevian Tennyson, who had 23 points in the win over Tech.
