Five Longhorns Still Remain for NFL Divisional Playoff Round

Eight NFL teams are left and only five players from the Texas Longhorns remain in the NFL's divisional playoff round, keep an eye out for these players this weekend.

The NFL Wild Card Round saw plenty of upsets and blowouts like the Cowboys' 48-32 loss to the Packers. 49ers Head Coach, Kyle Shanahan, said San Francisco started prepping for the Packers at halftime in the shutout game.

However, you won't find any former Texas Longhorns taking part in the Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers game - outside of coach Shanahan of course.

You also won't find them playing in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Detroit Lions game either.

The Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens matchup is the game Longhorns fans will want to watch with  3 former Longhorns listed to play. The game starts at 3:30 pm CST on Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium.

Not too far from Austin, the Texans have two players in the Divisional Playoff Round with cornerback Kris Boyd and fullback Andrew Beck. However, Beck was listed yesterday as questionable.

For the Ravens, 12-year veteran kicker Justin Tucker will be a UT fan favorite.

Lastly, in the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game, both teams' defensive lines feature longhorns.

The game is on Sunday in Buffalo at 5:30 pm CST. Chiefs star defensive end Charles Omenihu has 28 tackles on the season and the most career sacks in a single year with seven. And against the Bills this season he has three tackles and one sack. Bills defensive tackle, Poona Ford has nine tackles and one sack on the season.

Here is a complete list of the active players for Longhorns fans to keep an eye on throughout the weekend and how to watch those games.
