At 31 years old, Hicks brings a wealth of experience, having previously played for the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and Arizona Cardinals. His tenure in Philadelphia coincided with Jim Schwartz's tenure as defensive coordinator, who now holds a similar role with the Browns.
Despite losing Takitaki to the New England Patriots shortly after acquiring Hicks, the Browns have strengthened their defensive core with Hicks' arrival. Over his nine-year NFL career, Hicks has demonstrated consistency and versatility, starting in 119 out of 122 games played. His time with the Vikings saw him tally impressive statistics, including 147 solo tackles, four sacks, and multiple turnovers.
