APRIL 9, FINAL ROUND: 5 PM UPDATE

Scheffler has finished up his final round and will enter the clubhouse with a score of 4-under par. It was a strong start for Scheffler as he surged into the top 10 with four birdies through the first 11 holes on Sunday. However, he faltered down the final stretch with a double bogey on hole No. 12 and a bogey on hole No. 17. He finishes his round T12, and six shots off Rahm who is through 12 holes.

APRIL 9, FINAL ROUND - 4:20 PM UPDATE

Spieth's day is done as he will head into the clubhouse following a strong showing on Sunday afternoon. He stumbled on the final hole, though, and finishes his tournament at 7-under which is currently good enough for T4. With plenty of golf left on the day, there is no telling how far up or down the leaderboard Spieth will end up.

Scheffler is close to wrapping up his weekend as well, as he is through 15 holes of his final round. After a double bogey on hole No. 12, he carded a par on No. 13 and 14 before draining a birdie putt on hole No. 15. Through 15 holes he sits at 5-under which is good for T8.

APRIL 9, FINAL ROUND - 3:35 PM UPDATE:

Both Scheffler and Spieth have stayed red hot down the final stretch of the final round on Sunday afternoon.

Scheffler is through 11, picking up his fourth birdie of the day on hole No. 10 to drive his score down to 6-under. However, he stumbled two holes later on No. 12 with a double bogey and now sits at 4-under and has fallen out of the top 10 all the way to T13.

Spieth, however, continues to make a late surge up the leaderboard on the day as he picked up two more birdie putts on holes No. 14 and 15, placing his score at 7-under and moving him into third place alone. He is three shots off Rahm for the lead, with Rahm at 10-under through seven holes.

APRIL 9, FINAL ROUND - 3 PM UPDATE:

Scheffler started the day at 2-under and potentially out of contention, but has put together a remarkable final round through the front-9. He has picked up a trio of birdie putts on holes No. 2, 3 and 4. The other six holes saw Scheffler card par putts, and enter the back-9 at 5-under. After entering the day at T15 on the scoreboard, Scheffler has moved up into the top 10 at T6.

His fellow Longhorn has put together a strong final round of his own as he finds himself on the back-9. Despite picking up a pair of bogeys on the day, Spieth has carded an impressive six birdie putts to surge into the top 10 as well as he joins Scheffler at 5-under through 13 holes.

Both Scheffler and Spieth are four shots off the lead, however the leaders Brooks Koepka Jon Rahm are only through five holes of his final round so this one could be an exciting finish.

APRIL 9, FINAL ROUND PAIRINGS:

With the third round finally in the books, the final round is set to tee off at 11:30 a.m. CT. Both Scheffler and Spieth made the cut, however neither had a particularly strong third round and will need to make up a lot of ground if they want to get themselves into contention.

Scheffler enters the final round sitting with a 2-under, which places him at T15 on the leaderboard and nine strokes off the leader Brooks Koepka. He will tee off for his final round at 12:27 p.m. CT and is paired with Matt Fitzpatrick, who also sits at 2-under.

As for Spieth, his third round was a noticeable struggle as he carded four bogeys and a double bogey to drop himself further from contention. He enters the final round at 1-under and T20 on the scoreboard. Spieth's final round is set to tee off at 11:49 a.m. CT and he is paired with Phil Mickelson.

APRIL 9, THIRD ROUND UPDATE: TIGER WOODS WITHDRAWS

Tiger Woods has officially withdrawn from the Masters after completing seven holes in the third round due to an injury.

Woods, who is playing in his first Masters since returning from his horrific car crash, managed to make the cut after Round 2 for the 23rd consecutive time - tying an all-time record.

However, during play on Saturday, Woods was in noticeable discomfort and limping throughout the round.

Meanwhile, through 10 holes, Jordan Spieth is 5-over and has dropped to even par on the tournament, while Scottie Scheffler is 1-under for the day and 2-under for the tournament.

APRIL 8, THIRD ROUND: 12:35 PM UPDATE

After a bogey on hole No. 12 dropped Scheffler down to even on the tournament and into T-32, he rebounded in strong fashion on the next three holes. He picked up a birdie on hole No. 13, a par on No. 14 and another birdie on the Par 5 No. 15 to bring his score to 2-under and T-21. However, he is still 10 strokes off leader Brooks Koepka.

Spieth, meanwhile, had a bit of a shaky start to his Round 3 upon teeing off as he picked up a bogey on the Par 4 hole No. 1. He came back, though, with back-to-back par putts on holes No. 2 and No. 3 to keep his score at 4-under, which puts him at T-11 on the tournament.

APRIL 8, THIRD ROUND: 11:30 AM UPDATE

It was an uneventful yet strong start to Round 3 for Scheffler, as he teed off on the back-9 and looked poised to remain steady for the day. He picked up back-to-back par putts on holes No. 10 and 11, keeping his score at 1-under. However, he struggled on the Par 3 No. 12, carding a bogey to drop his score to even and placing his score at T-32.

APRIL 8, THIRD ROUND: 10:50 AM UPDATE

Both Scheffler and Spieth made the cut and will enter round three, with Scheffler teeing off on the back-9 and started his round at 10:42 a.m. CT. He enters Round 3 T-29 at 1-under par after a second-round score of 75 on Friday.

As for Spieth, he will start his round on the front-9 and is set to tee off at 11:42 a.m. CT. Spieth enters Round 3 and finds himself sitting T-6 at 5-under par as he looks to gain ground on the leader Brooks Koepka, who stormed out to a commanding lead with a 12-under par score after the first two rounds.

APRIL 7, SECOND ROUND 2:20 PM UPDATE

Scottie Scheffler carded a 68 on Thursday but could not find the magic on Friday. Scheffler scored two bogeys and a double-bogey against just one birdie for a second-round score of 75 on Friday that at least for now takes him out of contention for the lead. Brooks Koepka is in the clubhouse at 12-under while amateur Sam Bennett, a senior at Texas A&M, is in second at 8-under.

Jordan Spieth sits at 5-under as he just teed off at No. 18.

APRIL 6, FIRST ROUND 6 PM UPDATE

Both Scheffler and Spieth are in the clubhouse now as the first round has come to an end with Scheffler in at 4-under and Spieth - with a par on 18 - standing at 3-under on the day.

The tee times have been moved up 30 minutes for Friday's second round with inclement weather expected throughout most of the remaining weekend.

We'll pick up the action on Friday after Spieth and Scheffler tee off.

APRIL 6, FIRST ROUND - 5:35 PM UPDATE

Spieth and Scheffler have had consistent rounds as Scheffler enters his final hole of the day at 4-under par. Spieth stands at 3-under par after two consecutive birdies on 15 and 16 to make up for the double bogey on 13.

APRIL 6, FIRST ROUND - 4:45 PM UPDATE

Spieth had a disastrous three-hole stretch over holes 11, 12, and 13 as he hit two balls in the water while dropping three shots over a four-hole stretch. Spieth finished hole 13 at just 1-under par.

Scheffler carded his first bogey of the day on the par 4 11th to drop a shot but got it back just two holes later with a birdie on the par 5 13th.

Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm, and Brooks Koepka hold a share of the lead at 7-under.

APRIL 6, FIRST ROUND - 3:55 PM UPDATE

We saw the first stumble of the day for Scheffler on the back-9, as after he picked up a par on hole No. 10 he would drop a bogey on the Par 4 hole No. 11, pushing him back to under. A par on hole No. 12 kept him at 2-under through the first 12 holes and five shots off Hovland and Rahm for the lead.

Spieth continues to play a strong round, just two holes behind Scheffler. After ending the first 9 with three straight birdies on holes No. 6-8, and a par on hole No. 9, he picked up a par on No. 10 to start the back-9 and maintain his 4-under, which puts him at T-5 and three shots off the leaders.

APRIL 6, FIRST ROUND - 3:10 PM UPDATE:

Scheffler has continued to play a clean round through the first half of his day, as he will head into the back-9 sitting pretty at 3-under par. After knocking down back-to-back par putts on the Par 4 No. 7 and Par 5 No. 8, Scheffler picked up a birdie on the Par 4 No. 9 to move to 3-under, and into T-11 - four shots off Hovland and Jon Rahm for the lead.

As for Spieth, he had a slight stumble on hole No. 5 with a bogey on the Par 5. However, he bounced back in strong fashion with three straight birdies on holes No. 6-8 to head into the last hole of the front-9 at 4-under, good for T-6 and just three shots off the lead.

APRIL 6, FIRST ROUND - 2:10 PM UPDATE:

Scheffler has played his way through the first six holes of the first round, and aside from the eagle on hole No. 2, he has carded five par putts - including four straight on holes No. 3-6. - and sits at 2-under and T-12, five strokes off Hovland in first at 7-under.

Spieth teed off his first round and is currently through four holes, also finding himself sitting at 2-under after landing back-to-back birdies on holes No. 3 and 4, taking four shots on the Par 5 No. 3 and three shots on the Par 4 No. 5, joining Scheffler at T-12.

APRIL 6, FIRST ROUND -  1:30 PM UPDATE:

Scheffler teed off his first round at 12:36 p.m. in the first of the afternoon groups, as he entered the round six strokes behind Hovland's lead at 6-under. His first hole was a strong performance as he carded a par on the 445-yard Par 4.

He was even better on hole No. 2, though, as he did something he didn't do at last year when he took home the Green Jacket - sinking a short putt from five feet out for an eagle to put him 2-under through two holes.

On hole No. 3 Scheffler had the chance to get to 3-under par and into a tie for fifth with Shane Lowry, but he just missed an eight-foot putt and would settle for a par to finish the first three holes at 2-under par and T-11.

APRIL 6, FIRST ROUND - 9:51 AM UPDATE:

Scottie Scheffler is scheduled for a 12:36 p.m. tee time while Jordan Spieth is two groups behind him, scheduled for a 1 p.m. tee time. Viktor Hovland eagled No. 2 for a 2-under on the day and currently leads. There are currently seven players (Scott Stallings, Kevin Kisner, Adrian Meronk, Louis Oosthuizen, Patrick Reed, Sahith Theegala, and Seamus Power) tied for second at 1-under par as the early groups are beginning play.
