Fans of the UConn Huskies football program know who Travis Jones is. To other college football fans and scouts, he may not have been on their radar. Still, after an impressive career at UConn, Jones received an invite to the 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl to showcase his talents with some of the best in his class. Needless to say -- Jones has not disappointed anybody.

Jones has made several offensive linemen look silly at the Senior Bowl so far in matchups. He has showcased many traits that flew under the radar of many during the season. Jones was a terrific run defender and was fantastic at filling his gaps on the line, but what he has shown thus far at the Senior Bowl has been an innate ability to rush the passer and get into the backfield.

Jones has used a variety of moves when beating his opponent. Here he uses an absolutely beautiful swim move sending the lineman straight to his knees,

During this rep, Jones shows a powerful initial punch which he continues to drive using great leverage and leg drive, constantly keeping the offensive lineman off balance,

Here he shows that same punch and extension to win with ease again,

In this rep, he shows what he is well-known for. Jones bullies the center and comes up with the big run stop,

Jones has not allowed anybody to slow him down while he has been in Mobile. Zack Patraw of the NFL Draft Bible is on-location at the Senior Bowl, scouting the talent for si.com/nfl/draft. I asked him if he has heard any buzz surrounding Jones’s name. This is what he had to say: “I had a former LSU coach, who was there to watch Neil Farrell Jr., tell me that Jones was turning their heads throughout practice.” Patraw also commented saying, “An agent that was there for an offensive linemen also told me that Travis looked very impressive.”

Jones is creating plenty of buzz down in Mobile at the Senior Bowl, showcasing fantastic strength, leverage, and speed. He has won reps against the best in his class and has made many look subpar in comparison. If draft scouts were not sure of his name before the Senior Bowl, they definitely know him now. As one of the more versatile interior defensive linemen in this draft class, Jones could see his name rocketing up draft boards.
