College basketball coaches around the nation are expecting North Carolina to have a phenom freshman at point guard for the second straight season.

Michigan State's Cassius Winston was the runaway winner in the polling for this season's best player in the annual CBS Sports' Candid Coaches series, but Tar Heel freshman Cole Anthony was third in the voting.

"I've seen him do a little bit of everything," one anonymous coach told CBS Sports. "He can score [easily] and if he passes the ball, he'll be dangerous. He's one of the best guards I've seen in a long time. He can get things done, so athletic, tough, plays on both ends and will find a way. From what I've seen of him, he's a winner."

Anthony, the top-ranked combo guard in the nation and fourth overall in the 247 Sports composite, is expected to be the focal point of the Carolina offense this season after averaging 17.8 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds last season at Oak Hill Academy.

The 6-3, 185-pound guard from New York finished out his high school career earning MVP honors in both the McDonald's All-American Game and Nike Hoop Summit while sharing it at the Jordan Brand Classic.
