Brandon Robinson Out with Sprained Ankle

North Carolina got good news on Saturday when X-rays came back negative for a fracture in Brandon Robinson's injured right ankle.
The senior guard was instead diagnosed with a sprained ankle and there is currently no timetable for his return.
The injury happened midway through the first half of Carolina's 96-61 exhibition victory on Friday night when Robinson, after blocking a shot, had an opposing player fall on his the back of his leg.
Robinson left the game and did not return, and on crutches afterward.
Starting his first game at Carolina, Robinson was impressive in five minutes, hitting a 3-pointer and making 5 of 6 free throw attempts on his way to eight points and a rebound in five minutes.
In the second half, Justin Pierce moved into the starting lineup to replace Robinson.
The Tar Heels open the regular season on Wednesday night when they play host to Notre Dame at the Smith Center.
