10 true freshman played vs. App State

Given that players can now participate in up to four games in a season and still receive a redshirt, we'll update this chart weekly to see where things stand for true freshmen who have gotten on the field.

For the third straight week, 10 true freshmen saw action for the Tar Heels as receiver Khafre Brown made his Carolina debut against Appalachian State.

Nine players will lose their option to redshirt if/when they play on Saturday vs. Clemson. There's no reason to believe anyone from the group of freshmen that have played in all four games would suddenly be removed from the lineup.
