After dealing with us reporters for the past three weeks, the Tar Heel football players are being given a reprieve from media responsibilities on Friday afternoon and getting a whole day off on Saturday. They'll get into game-week preparations on Sunday and reconvene with Mack Brown's weekly press conference on Monday, which will include some time with Jay Bateman and Phil Longo.

Inside Carolina's Ross Martin broke the news that quarterback Cade Fortin will enter the transfer portal on Thursday night.
