How have freshmen QBs fared at Carolina?

Stats a mixed bag, but winning seasons have been possible

With Sam Howell emerging as Carolina's starting quarterback after the second scrimmage of training camp, the Tar Heels will have a freshman taking snaps for the third straight season.

While big numbers have been tough to come by for freshmen starters in Chapel Hill,  three have managed to lead the Heels to winning seasons, while Darian Durant rewrote the record books during a fantastic start to a strong career.

Here's how freshmen starting quarterbacks have fared at Carolina since the start of the first Mack Brown era.
