Three-Star OL Trevion Stevenson Announces Commitment to North Carolina

Three-star outside linebacker, Trevion Stevenson, announced his surprise commit to North Carolina today.
Just yesterday, Stevenson decided to de-commit from Pittsburgh after only committing April 12. He released a statement on Twitter,
"After talking with my family and coaches, I have decided to de-commit from the University of Pittsburgh. I would like to thank Pitt's coaching staff for the opportunity and the fans for all of the love during this process. Pitt has been grade "A" from the very beginning."
But this isn't the first time the Virginia native has de-commit from a program. In February, Stevenson cut ties from Old Dominion. Since then, he has garnered interest from power programs such as Florida and Georgia.
All week commits such as Keeshawn Silver, JJ Jones, and Drake Maye hint too big news, which seems to be it. The 6-foot-7, 215-pound linebacker was recruited by fellow Virginia native Dre Bly, who laid down the groundwork for what he calls "Tidewater Heels".
Stevenson received offers from Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Penn State, Duke, Florida State, Michigan, Howard, UCLA, Louisville, and numerous others.
With the backing of star commits of North Carolina, hopefully, this commitment sticks.
AllTarHeels Evaluation from Jonah Lossiah,
Stevenson offers a different kind of talent to the Tar Heels’ 2021 class. While Keeshawn Silver and Jahvaree Ritizie offer more of a traditional defensive-end build, Stevenson fits more in that hybrid mold that Jay Bateman and crew have been searching for in this class. Listed at 6’5” and 217, he is a long and quick player. He was extremely productive as a junior, tallying 15 sacks last season.
He could play defensive end or outside linebacker at UNC, though it would be no surprise for him to be the type of player at Bateman loves to move around to cause matchup problems. He will not be overpowering college tackles too often, but his versatile will allow him the opportunities to make plays.
