10 freshmen saw action vs. Wake Forest

Given that players can now participate in up to four games in a season and still receive a redshirt, we'll update this chart weekly to see where things stand for true freshmen who have gotten on the field.

For the second straight week, 10 true freshmen saw action for the Tar Heels. After playing in the first two games of the season, Eugene Asante didn't see action vs. Wake Forest, while Emery Simmons was back in the fold after not playing against Miami.
