Friday night football returned in North Carolina last night and Ja'Qurious Conley wasted no time putting a few plays on his highlight reel in Jacksonville Northside's 14-0 win over Wilmington Laney.

The four-star athlete tweeted out the videos on Saturday, showing an interception and long return followed by a punt return that covered more than 70 yards on his way to a touchdown.

According to the game story from the Jacksonville Daily News, both touchdowns were wiped out by penalties, in addition to another on a 52-yard run. Conley also lost a fumble on the 2-yard line — something he told the Daily News' Rick Scoppe he'll be focused on fixing.

“Me, personally, I look at all the negative things, like my fumble. I’m going to beat myself up about that,” he said. “But I look at all the things we need to improve in. I don’t care about all the good stuff because that means we’re working.”

Conley, a 6-2, 190-pound athlete, committed to Carolina on Aug. 15 over finalists Duke and South Carolina. Ranked 24th nationally among safeties by 247 Sports, he's the No. 12 overall player in North Carolina.
