USC Basketball: Patrick Beverley Struggles To Choose Between Caitlin Clark, Bronny James

One of the bigger storylines as the NBA Draft comes about is what freshman guard Bronny James will do regarding his basketball future. James entered the college transfer portal to maintain his college eligibility, while also declaring for the NBA Draft.

His future has been one of the biggest in recent memory due to the fact that he is the son of NBA legend LeBron James. Despite a poor freshman season, Bronny still wants to see if he can make it in the NBA before coming back to college.

Many believe that he should stay for at least another season in college, with players giving their options left and right. NBA role player, Patrick Beverley, weighed in on Bronny but also looked at the play from women's basketball player Caitlin Clark from Iowa. Beverley said he hasn't seen enough from Bronny, so he would pick Clark in a hypothetical draft that featured the two of them.

“He ain’t wrong, he ain’t wrong. I’m in the NBA and my son is in college, and I got a little power. Come on, boy, get on this motherf**kin NBA Draft,” Patrick Beverley said. “Somebody’s going to draft you. Last name motherf**kin James.”

Beverley is correct in saying that Bronny is getting more recognition due to his last name. But the guard does feature some quality skills on the court. He is a strong defender, something that should translate to the league if he enters it.

But when comparing the two college players, Clark is simply the better player. She has dominated the college ranks for a few years now, while Bronny is still learning the way.

“She’s a woo!” Beverley said. “And people ask me like, Pat Bev, you think her game is gonna translate to the WNBA? I say hell yes.”
