USC Basketball: Trojans' Season Comes to Disastrous End Following Blowout Loss to Arizona

It's time for some serious revamping within the program.

A disappointing 15-18 season has come to an end for the Trojans following a 70-49 loss to the Arizona Wildcats in the 2nd round of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament.

For the Trojans, Kobe Johnson and Isaiah Collier had 14 points and 13 points, respectively, with everyone else struggling in their own way. Turnovers, missed shots, and bad reads within the halfcourt offense all contributed to an offensive collapse and one of USC's lowest point outputs in recent memory.

A campaign that began with USC being ranked 16th in the country saw hardly any positives, as injuries and countless bad performances created one of the most frustrating seasons in recent memory.

Despite a push towards the end of the year that saw USC win six of eight before the Arizona game (including defeating Arizona at home a few days ago), their sub-.500 record is their worst performance since 2018-2019, and their third-worst as a whole since the beginning of Enfield's tenure in 2013.

With the presumed losses of Isaiah Collier, Bronny James, and Kobe Johnson, along with the guaranteed loss of Boogie Ellis, USC will have quite a bit of work to do in the transfer portal to replicate their production.

There's also a reasonable chance Andy Enfield is shown the door, as despite having some of the best funding and resources in the nation, he's struggled to find consistent success year over year.
