USC Football: Trojans WR Named Underrated Surprise Player in Upcoming NFL Draft

This Trojan wide receiver is regarded as an underrated prospect approaching the NFL draft.

The 2024 NFL Draft is approaching, and as of Saturday, we all know USC superstar Caleb Williams will be the number one draft pick.

Barring anything drastic, Williams will be the fourth USC Trojan to go number one overall and the first since quarterback Carson Palmer in 2003. That's the obvious; what about the other USC players coming out in this year's draft?

The other guys are talented and could impact any NFL team they land with. One player who could certainly do just that is three-year USC wide receiver Tahj Washington

Washington had himself one heck of a year; however, he's not high on many draft boards. Nonetheless, creator of 'The Film Room' Brett Kollmann believes Washington is severely underrated in the draft.

In his three years at USC, Washington did nothing but produce. In the Cardinal Red and Gold, the 22-year-old collected 163 receptions for 2449 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 15.0 receiving yards per reception.

As Kollmann alluded to, his skillset as a separator is among the best in the draft. He's fast and flashy and can be a legitimate threat at the pro level. Before the Shrine Bowl, Washington was projected to be an undrafted free agent; after that, he's now projected to be drafted in the sixth round.

He has good hands and an explosive burst that could help any NFL team. Any team would be lucky to select Washington, and if all works out, he could be the steal of the 2024 draft.

Don't be surprised when he does well.
