Prediction: USC football to land 4-star defensive back

Marcelles Williams is ranked as the No. 70 player nationally in the 2024 class, according to the 247Sports composite, and the No. 9 cornerback

USC has been tabbed to add a 2024 defensive back, according to 247Sports.com national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins.

Biggins logged a crystal ball prediction on Monday night forecasting that four-star St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) cornerback Marcelles Williams will pick the Trojans.

Williams is the youngest of three brothers — his oldest brother is USC safety Max Williams.

Marcelles Williams is ranked as the No. 70 player nationally in the 2024 class, according to the 247Sports composite, and the No. 9 cornerback.

After missing on a couple cornerback targets in 2023, adding Williams would be a huge get for USC this cycle. The Trojans landed a top 100 corner in the 2021 and 2022 cycles, but did not sign one in 2023 (Maliki Crawford is rated as the No. 330 prospect nationally).

USC MAKES MAJOR IMPRESSION ON FOUR-STAR SAFETY

USC hosted four 2024 prospects on official visits over the weekend. Out of the group, four-star Judson (Converse, Texas) safety Myles Davis seemed to have left LA feeling the best about the Trojans.

Davis told 247Sports.com's Steve Wiltfong after his visit: “USC is in serious consideration for being my home. I’m considering moving some visits up so I can see how they are and make my decision this coming month, especially with them taking two safeties."

Davis stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 185 pounds. The 247Sports composite ranks him as the No. 338 player nationally and the No. 32 safety prospect.
