Who will pick USC? Where the recruitments of Trojans' official visitors stand

USC is hosting four official visitors this weekend, including two five-star prospects

USC is hosting four official visitors this weekend, including two five-star prospects in Buford (Ga.) defensive lineman Eddrick Houston and Midlothian (Texas) wide receiver Bryant Wesco.

Wesco probably has a better chance of picking USC in the future than Houston, but regardless, both prospects are being aggressively recruited by the top programs in the country. USC will have to make a major impression this weekend to stay in the race.

The two other weekend visitors are four-star Judson (Converse, Texas) safety Myles Davis and three-star Atascocita (Humble, Texas) cornerback Braylon Conley.

Steve Wiltfong, 247Sports.com's National Recruiting Director, went on his YouTube show on Thursday to break down both players' recruitments and where USC stands.

"Myles Davis is a guy that USC has gotten on a little bit later, but he's really clicked with Alex Grinch and he's excited to get out to campus," Wiltfong said. "He took recent visits to Texas, Texas A&M and Purdue. We'll see what kind of tone the visit to USC sets in the recruitment going forward. He's very excited."

"Braylon Conley, I think USC is in a very interesting position for him," Wiltfong said. "Arkansas is certainly also high on his list. He's going to take an official visit there. He's also going to go to Auburn, Utah and Washington so there's a lot of Pac-12 flavor in Conley's recruitment. He's excited to get out to USC. He's talked about the academic excellence at USC along with their football history. So he likes the total package."

USC seems to be in a good spot with Conley heading into the weekend and will need to wow the rest of the group. With Lincoln Riley's history with receivers, the Wesco recruitment will be interesting to watch. A good visit could push USC to the top of his list.

Pulling Davis away from the Texas schools would be a major win for USC and especially Grinch. It will be interesting to catch up with the four-star safety prospect following his trip.

Houston seems like a long shot to pick USC with Georgia, Alabama and Ohio State firmly in the picture.
