USC Men's Water Polo To Kick Off Long Home Stand With Weekend Doubleheader

Your 5-1 USC men's water polo squad will return home to the Uytengsu Aquatics Center this Saturday, where the program will host two clubs in back-to-back bouts. The good news is, only one of them actually counts towards their record in this early part of the Trojans' season.
The club, ranked third in the nation at present, will initially face off against UC Santa Barbara Gauchos (the 11th-ranked program in the country) at 1 p.m., in the two teams' first encounter of the 2023 season, according to a USC presser.
Next, the Trojans will play an exhibition game against the Golden West College Rustlers at 2:30 p.m.
USC will be playing in friendly waters for its next seven contests overall. That doesn't mean fans should expect some kind of walkover, however. After all, the Trojans lost their first home game of the year last week, a 12-5 defeat against top-seeded UC Berkley. USC then best eighth-seeded UC Irvine 12-10 in a critical away game victory.
So far this season, All-American grad student driver Massimo Di Martire's 13 goals are pacing the Trojans, with senior two-meter Max Miller right behind him, thanks to the Ladera Ranch native's 12 goals thus far. The club is looking to return to the NCAA final for the second straight year, but hoping this time to finish the job.

Tell Alex, were you in the joint the night Wilt scored 100 points? Or when the Celtics won titles back-to-back and didn't give nobody no kind of slack?
