USC Trojan League of Los Angeles holds Annual Benefit to support Track & Field program
LOS ANGELES — USC track & field athletes, coaches and donors gathered at the The Colich Track & Field Center for the USC Trojan League of Los Angeles' Annual Benefit event on Saturday.
The event supports the track program and was hosted by Trojan League of Los Angeles president D’Arcy Dietrich McLeod and Benefit Chair Janine Colich. The Trojan League of Los Angeles is a philanthropic alumnae organization whose purpose is to promote the history, traditions, accomplishments, and interest of the University of Southern California, per its website.
The Benefit started with tours of The Colich Track & Field Center before attendees participated in jumping, running, hurdling and throwing stations under the watchful eyes of the coaching staff and current track athletes. The event continued with lunch and finished with raffle drawings.
Trojan legends Rai Benjamin and Michael Norman addressed attendees prior to the track & field stations starting up.
"It's been a privilege to be a part of this program," Benjamin said. "One thing I always say to anyone I talk to is coming to USC changed my life...Thank you all for coming out and supporting the track team. It really means a lot."
"I want to thank everybody here today," Norman added. "It's amazing to see the amount of support we have for this program. All of the tradition we have, we continue to carry."
