USC women's volleyball has brought in a huge addition in transfer Ally Batenhorst, who comes to the Trojans from Nebraska. Batenhorst spent the previous three seasons at Nebraska, where the outside hitter helped the Cornhuskers finish as the NCAA runner-ups in 2021 and 2023.

USC head coach Brad Keller spoke on the significance of adding Batenhorst to their program on Monday.

"The addition of Ally Batenhorst is a game-changer for our program," Keller said. "She is accomplished and has played at the highest level of collegiate volleyball throughout her career. Ally is a great teammate and leader; and a person who reinforces what the USC standard is about. We cannot wait to begin training with the newest member of our Trojan Family."

In the 2023-2024 season, the six-foot-five Batenhorst recorded 196 kills, 557 total attacks, 54 digs and 52 total blocks. Batenhorst also played beach volleyball for the Huskers, putting up 15 wins in 2023, the most in one season by a Cornhusker. Before her college career, Batenhorst was the Gatorade High School Texas Player of the Year and the National Player of the Year in 2020-2021.

Batenhorst joins a Trojans team that ranked fifth in their final season of the Pac-12, and put up a 19-13 overall record. The Trojans finished the season ranked No. 24 in the AVCA  rankings, and will look to improve with Batenhorst. She plans to also contribute to USC's beach volleyball as well and will join the team in 2024.

With USC leaving for the Big Ten, there's a good chance Batenhorst will have the opportunity to go up against her former team.
