Vaughn's Big Day Not Enough To Lift Commodores Past LSU

Ke'Shawn Vaughn provided his best game of the young season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough for the Vanderbilt Commodores to overcome the 4th ranked Tigers of LSU as the visitors from the bayou manhandled the home team 66-38.
Vaughn, a Nashville native lead all rushers in the game with 130 yardson 20 carries and two touchdownseon Marlowe carried 3 times for 19 yards while Keyon Brooks recieved 5 carries but managed no yards for the game.
The Commodores offense showed signs of growth against a stingy defense as Neal passed for 206 yards and a score against the Tigers.
The Commodores will need that type of production and more next Saturday as they host Northern Illinois in an 11 AM kickoff at Vanderbilt Stadium.
