Video: Mason On Defensive Improvement
The improvement of the Vanderbilt Commodores defense in the week between the diasaterous loss to UNLV and the upset win over Missouri was a dramatic one. Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason was asked about that transformation during his Tuesday press conference following the team's bye week.
Mason credited multiple things in responding to the question.
While the defensive improvement was a key in the Commodores win over Missouri. the improvement must continue as the remainder of the season plays out if this squad is to continue winning and put themselves in position for post season play.
The Commodores travel to South Carolina this Saturday to take on the Gamecocks, who are coming off a 41-21 loss to Tennessee last Saturday.
Gametime is set for 6:30 pm at Williams-Brice Stadium and can bee seen locally on the SEC Network.
