The Cavaliers have won 8 national titles in the last five years and 13 titles in the last ten years.

Virginia has the 16th-most NCAA team national championships among Division I schools, passing Maryland and Wisconsin, who each have 32. UVA's 33 national titles are the second-most in the Atlantic Coast Conference and (by far) the most in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
