Virginia (22-9, 13-7 ACC) wrapped up the 2023-2024 regular season with a comfortable and resounding 72-57 victory over Georgia Tech (14-17, 7-13 ACC) on Saturday night at John Paul Jones Arena. UVA built a 14-point lead at halftime and led by as many as 23 points before putting it in cruise control down the stretch.

After a few rough games shooting the ball from beyond the arc, Virginia lit it up from three with seven threes in the first half and 12 for the game on 46.2% shooting. In his final game at John Paul Jones Arena, Reece Beekman put on a dazzling performance with 21 points on 8/10 shooting and 3/4 from beyond the arc to go along with nine assists, six rebounds, three steals, and a block.

Isaac McKneely knocked down four threes and finished with 16 points and three assists and Taine Murray contributed 12 points and three assists. Virginia shot 51.8% from the floor, registered 18 assists on 29 made field goals, and turned the ball over only five times in one of the team's most efficient offensive performances of the season.

With the win, Virginia has clinched the No. 3 seed in the 2024 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament, which will begin next week at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The Cavaliers have a double-bye into the quarterfinals and will take on either No. 6 seed Clemson, No. 11 seed Boston College, or No. 14 seed Miami at approximately 9:30pm on Thursday.
