The No. 2 seed Virginia Cavaliers (25-6) take on the No. 4 seed Duke Blue Devils (25-8) in the ACC Men's Basketball Tournament Championship Game on Saturday night at Greensboro Coliseum. Follow along with score updates, play-by-play, and live analysis for the game below.

Final Score: Duke 59, Virginia 49

Dunn fouls Filipowski on the inbounds play and Filipowski goes 1/2 from the line. Beekman drives inside and scores with a reverse layup, making it a four-point game. Duke breaks the Virginia press and Franklin fouls Jeremy Roach, who goes to the line and makes both free throws, putting Duke back ahead 55-49. Isaac McKneely attempts a step-back three-pointer, but it's well-contested by Mark Mitchell and McKneely leaves it short. Jeremy Roach elevates for the rebound and is fouled by Dunn, who fouls out of the game. Roach makes both free throws and that should just about do it. Armaan Franklin's deep three-pointer is way off the mark. Mark Mitchell is fouled by Gardner and Mitchell makes both free throws, giving Duke a ten-point lead. Reece Beekman misses a three and Duke dribbles out the clock. Blue Devils win 59-49 and Duke is the 2023 ACC Tournament Champions.

Roach drives inside but his layup is well contested and UVA comes up with the stop. Virginia nearly turns it over, but Kihei Clark regains possession and drives to the basket for a lefty layup. Franklin fouls Filipowski in the back court and Filipowski bricks the front end of the one-and-one, but the rebound takes Ryan Dunn out of bounds and he throws it away trying to throw the ball back in bounds. Duke maintains possession.

Jeremy Roach hits a fadeaway jumper over Clark, but Virginia answers right back as Isaac McKneely curls around a screen and hits a catch-and-shoot three-pointer from the right wing off the feed from Beekman. The moment is not too big for the true freshman. Roach drives on Clark and scores off the glass plus a foul on Clark. Roach completes the three-point play and the Duke lead is back up to nine points. McKneely attempts another three, this time from the left corner, and it just barely rims out. Duke turns it over and Reece Beekman takes the ball the length of the court for a transition layup. UVA calls timeout, just barely holding on to a glimmer of hope as the Cavaliers trail Duke 52-45 with 1:48 left in regulation.

Isaac McKneely gets into the lane and draws a foul on Jacob Grandison, making both free throws. Kyle Filipowski works on Ryan Dunn in the low post and uses some crafty footwork to score off the glass. Filipowski is having himself a game with 19 points and nine rebounds. Beekman drives baseline and dishes to Ryan Dunn, who finishes through contact at the rim. Dunn pokes the ball away from Filipowski and Kihei Clark takes it on a fastbreak, drawing a foul on Mark Mitchell. Clark makes both free throws and Virginia has it back down to a seven-point game. Dunn blocks Proctor's layup attempt and Beekman starts the fastbreak, eventually passing back to Kihei Clark for a wide-open three, but Clark misses it. Proctor drives again and this time draws a foul on Dunn, making both free throws. Gardner gets a clean look from the free throw line, but misses it. Beekman barely saves the ball inbounds and fires the ball to Dunn, who spins around and passes to Gardner for a short floater and he makes it. Duke calls timeout leading 47-40 with 3:35 remaining.

It turns out to be a good foul for Dunn, as Lively misses both free throws. Duke grabs multiple offensive rebounds, but the possession ends with a missed Kyle Filipowski three. The score has been stuck on 36-27 for a long time now, as Duke has gone more than five minutes without scoring, but the Cavaliers have failed to capitalize, going on their own scoring drought of four minutes. The Duke drought ends as Mitchell finds Filipowski, who scores with a reverse layup. Reece Beekman is fouled by Dariq Whitehead and with UVA in the bonus, Beekman goes to the line and makes both ends of the one-and-one. Armaan Franklin drives into the paint and kicks out to Isaac McKneely, who hits a huge three, cutting the deficit to just six. Duke responds with an equally huge bucket, as Filipowski passes out of a double-team, finding Tyrese Proctor in the opposite corner for a three-pointer. Kyle Filipowski then comes up with a steal and takes it the length of the court for an easy dunk. Just as Virginia got within striking distance, Duke throws a haymaker and now leads 43-32 with 7:30 remaining. Tony Bennett calls timeout.

Ryan Dunn passes up a wide open three-pointer and then misses a layup later in the possession. Duke gets the ball to Dereck Lively II, who appears to have an open dunk but Ryan Dunn comes over and fouls him to prevent the easy bucket. 

Duke 36, Virginia 27 | 11:50 2H

Tyrese Proctor is fouled by Beekman and makes both free throws. Kadin Shedrick is fouled by Ryan Young, but the refs say the foul is on the floor. Franklin then misses a layup and Jeremy Roach swishes a three-pointer from the left corner on the other end, giving the Blue Devils their largest lead of the game at 36-22. Shedrick works hard to grab an offensive rebound and scores off the glass through contact plus a foul on Filipowski. Shedrick completes the three-point play. Kadin Shedrick makes another big play, drawing an offensive foul on Ryan Young to give possession back to UVA. Armaan Franklin drives baseline and dishes to Jayden Gardner, who finishes with a two-hand jam. After falling behind by 14 points, UVA responds with a quick 5-0 burst to get the deficit back in single digits. Duke calls timeout.

Kyle Filipowski picks up where he left off, getting inside and scoring off the glass. He's up to 13 points to lead all scorers. Dereck Lively II rejects UVA's lob attempt, but Reece Beekman collects the ball and passes to Armaan Franklin, who pump-fakes and knocks down a three-pointer from the right wing just as the shot clock expired. Jeremy Roach's corner three hits the side of the rim, but bounces straight in the air and falls in. Virginia gets the ball down low to Shedrick, who is fouled by Lively and makes both free throws. Roach gets another friendly bounce on a short jumper that hit the rim before falling. Meanwhile, Kadin Shedrick misses a dunk that was well-contested by Filipowski and Beekman has a jumper rim out. Virginia has gone more than four minutes since making its last field goal.

Gardner drives hard to the basket and has his shot blocked by Lively, but Armaan Franklin snags the rebound and is fouled by Lively. Franklin makes the first, but misses the second free throw and time expires. Virginia shoots 27.3% from the floor, makes just one of seven three-point attempts, and goes 4/8 from the free throw line in the first half. UVA is lucky to only be trailing by seven at halftime. 

Duke 24, Virginia 17 | Halftime

Grandison goes 1/2 from the line and Duke leads 20-11. Virginia commits its seventh turnover of the first half as Beekman's pass is intercepted. Duke makes UVA pay on the other end as Filipowski grabs an offensive rebound over Shedrick and scores the putback. Beekman stops the bleeding for UVA, driving to the rack and finishing a layup off the glass. Duke turns it over and then Clark draws a foul on Tyrese Proctor, making both free throws. Kyle Filipowski drives on Shedrick and draws a foul, making both free throws. That's two personal fouls for Shedrick. Gardner is fouled by Filipowski in the paint and goes 1/2 from the free throw line. Roach picks up his dribble and Beekman sticks to him like glue and forces the rare five-second violation. Virginia gets the last shot of the first half and Tony Bennett calls his use it or lose it timeout.

Isaac McKneely and Taine Murray are now on the floor for Virginia, who goes super small with Jayden Gardner at center and Ryan Dunn at the 4. Some interesting shot selection on two-straight possessions for UVA as Ryan Dunn takes a long two-point jumper and Jayden Gardner shoots a three from the left wing. Neither of the shots go in. Dariq Whitehead works on Isaac McKneely and hits a pull-up jumper from just inside the three-point line. Jacob Grandison swipes the ball away from Clark and takes it the length of the court, drawing a foul on Ryan Dunn. UVA hasn't scored in four minutes and trails 19-11 with three and a half minutes to go in the half.

Franklin misses both free throws and the deficit stays at six for Virginia. Duke works the ball down low to Ryan Young, who temporarily loses control of the ball but regains possession and draws a foul on Shedrick. Young makes both free throws and Duke leads 13-5. Reece Beekman pulls up from just inside the free throw line and knocks down the jumper, ending a UVA scoring drought of more than three minutes. Virginia plays an excellent possession of defense and Jayden Gardner forces an air-ball from Filipowski, resulting in a shot-clock violation. Shedrick tries to block Filipowski's layup attempt but is called for goaltending. Shedrick grabs two offensive rebounds and passes quickly to Gardner, who splashes a mid-range jumper. With the shot-clock winding down, Mark Mitchell finds Dereck Lively II, who finishes with a slam dunk just before the clock expired. Isaac McKneely curls around a screen and drains a jumper from the left elbow. Virginia is shooting 27.8% from the floor.

Kyle Filipowski tracks down a loose ball and scores his first basket against Virginia this season. Caffaro grabs an offensive rebound and draws a foul on Filipowski, who exits the game. Kadin Shedrick comes in to replace Caffaro. Clark picks up his first foul and is subbed out for Isaac McKneely. Reece Beekman comes up with a steal and finishes the layup on the other end, but takes an awkward fall at the end of the play and has a slight limp as he comes back down the floor. Gardner helps off of Filipowski to double Ryan Young and Young kicks out quickly to Filipowski, who drains the open three from the right wing. Franklin curls around a screen and is fouled by Dariq Whitehead in the act of shooting a floater. He'll shoot a pair on the other end of the timeout.

Jeremy Roach gets into the paint and elevates for a floater for the first basket of the game. Kihei Clark barely gets a shot off on UVA's first possession of the game and misses badly, before Duke scores again as Dereck Lively II works around Francisco Caffaro in the low post for a layup. Reece Beekman turns it over and that leads to an easy bucket in transition, as Roach gets to the rim for a layup, giving Duke a quick 6-0 lead. Virginia finally gets on the board as Beekman finds Armaan Franklin in the corner for a three-pointer. Tyrese Proctor loses his footing near half-court and Duke calls a timeout to avoid the turnover.
