D'Sean Perry's High School Teammate Writes "Guardian Angel" Tribute Song

A friend and former high school football teammate of D'Sean Perry, Terell Torrance, has released a music tribute titled "Guardian Angel" to honor the memory of D'Sean Perry. Torrance, also known as TJ2Offixial, wrote the tribute piece on the same day that he learned of Perry's passing in the tragic shooting at UVA that claimed the lives of Virginia football players D'Sean Perry, Devin Chandler, and Lavel Davis Jr. back in November. 

On 11/14/22 i received a text message at 9:30 AM, informing me of the situation. At 12 PM the same day, I recorded this song while being heartbroken, shaken, and angry at the world. The Perry family shared the following statement:

"Our family is devastated by the passing of our son, D’Sean Perry. He was a loving, giving, caring, God-fearing young man who was full of life and potential, and who made his family proud. His positive impact was not only felt by our family, but also by several communities that genuinely loved D’Sean, and that he was blessed to be a member of. Football and art was his passion, but the love that he had for his family, friends and his community was proven time and time again through his candid dedication. We are very thankful, grateful as well as blessed and give Terell Torrance (TJ2Offixial) our blessing as he shines his light on D’Sean with his new single ‘Guardian Angel’.”

Ted Lucas of the Miami hip-hop label Slip-N-Slide Records knows the Perry family personally and has donated the services of his label to the release of this single so that its proceeds can be given to the Perry family.
