UW FB Games for Non-Conference Start Early; One Will Be Live-Streamed
University of Washington football fans, used to late-night TV games in recent years, will find their Saturday nights are free so far for this coming season.
However, they might be a little puzzled over how to find all of those early season games when going through the channels.
On Wednesday, the Pac-12 revealed starting times and TV broadcasts for each of its teams in the non-conference schedule, and the Huskies have three games kicking off at either 12:30 or 2 p.m.
One of them — the Sept. 16 game at Michigan State — will be shown only through live-streaming on Peacock TV, a first for the conference.
It's unclear at this point what will be required to watch the Huskies and Spartans play that day in East Lansing, whether viewers will need a subscription or not to tune in.
The UW will open the season at home on Sept. 2 against Boise State at 12:30 p.m. and the game will be shown on ABC.
The following week, the Huskies host Tulsa in a game with a 2 p.m. kickoff and a Pac-12 Network broadcast.
Times and TV designations for league games are still to come, with some not made until shortly before those outings are played.
